Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee is the top ranked Smallmouth Lake in
the world. The 3 largest Smallmouth bass ever caught were caught in
the deep clear waters of this ruggedly beautiful lake. David Hayes
Smallmouth has with stood scrutiny and time to remain the longest
held Freshwater Fishing Record of all time. You can fish this lake and go sight seeing. I currently book groups as large as 10 for one cabin, and can book as many as 40 to this location. 6 months notice is needed to book large groups as the fishing guides on this lake are normally booked at least that far in advance on most occasions. I book people in to Horse Creek Resort owned by Jack Huddleston and built by Jack and Hall of Fame Angler Billy Westmoreland. This resort is a top notch resort with both a large motel with kitchen and cabins that hold up to 12 adults or 14 with children. Your guides will be the best that Dale Hollow has to offer. The lake has produced state records for Muskie, Brown Trout and Walleye, so the fishing is diversified and the quality is excellent. There is currently a 16 -21 inch slot limit on the lake that is producing lots of BIG trophy smallmouth. The Resort also has a WiFi Connection so you can keep in touch with the office, cell phones work but normally the reception is poor at best in this deep valley of the Obey River. The small town of Celina is nearby. Dale Hollow One Stop is the best tackle store in the area and the home of Punisher Lures and Stephen Headrick who has appeared in many magazines on Float and Fly Fishing, Jig Fishing and Spinner Bait fishing for smallmouth.
