Sept 24, 2008 Gary Gearke, Le Mars, IA, 12.5lb 32.5" Walleye!! Caught just minutes away from the lodge on a one of our charter boats with Guide Darryl using a gold jig in 26' of water. He went home with this incredible wall hanger & his limit of walleyes!
Sept 20, 2008  Sarim Party from Plymouth, MN went out on our 20' Lund Alaskan with Captain Dave and caught 86 northern pike in one day!!! Unbelievable! They were just minutes away from the lodge using blue and silver shad raps.
Sept 23, 2008 Seed 2000 Group from Crookston, MN out with Captain Eric & Captain Darryl and went home with these 27"-32" Walleyes!

We have 150 beds (can hold up to 200 if there are couples)
We fish for walleyes, saguer, northern, & sturgeon
We have 30 lodge rooms & 21 cabins
The rooms are like a standard hotel room with 2 double beds, bath, cable tv, phone, air conditioning,freezer for your fish, river & roadside views.
We also have 2 full service restaurants, full service bar with entertainment, an indoor pool, hot tub, gift shop, full service guided fishing winter & summer.
Winter fishing we provide the fishhouse, transportation to and from the house(track vehicles), poles, bait, tackle & fish cleaning, full & half day trips available.
Miles of snowmobile trails right out our front door.
Summer fishing we have 27' Sportscraft boats with guide, they hold up to 6 passengers, full and half day trips, we provide the poles, bait, tackle, 12 pack assorted pop & water and clean you fish for you.
We also have 16' boats with 25 hp motors you can rent on your own too.
We also have an outstanding meal plan that you choose what you want to eat! Dinner includes entree choice, full salad bar, bread and a nonalcoholic drink. We have dinner choices ranging from steaks, seafood and chicken. You can enjoy our appetizers, desserts, alcholic drink and market price items such as lobster for an additional charge.

 

Breakfast has many choices eggs, pancakes, skillets, french toasts...
Lunch we can provide you with a sack lunch (sandwich, chips, salad, cookies) or our famous fish fry, you provide the fish from the morning catch and we provide the fixings, potatoes, bread, beans & cookies. A great break in your day on a nearby island, your guide will fry up a meal that is unbelievable.
We also have a Leonard C summer cruise boat that can hold up to 38 passengers, cruise on the Rainy River for a few hours with appetizers or try our famous shorelunch fish fry after a cruise to a nearby island. Great way to to get a group of friends together.
We also have meeting & banquet facilities for up to 300.
We can also set up bus transportation too.

Oak Island Resort 

Located in the heart of Lake of the Woods on Oak Island
Year Round full service resort, holds up to 46 people and we also have another property we call Eagle Ridge a short jaunt thru the woods that can hold up to 16 more
walleyes, saugers, northerns, muskies, crappies, bass & perch
We have 4 villas, 4 condos & 2 stand alone cabins, very nice all log
Their is a satellite tv & phones in the main lodge and in the Eagle Ridge cabins but NOT in the villas or condos.

2 ways to get to this location:
 
You can drive within 9 miles of this location and take a boat passenger or winter track vehicle service 9 miles out (20 min ride). We are located in Minnesota, but you need to drive into Canada and out again to the Northwest Angle, MN to get to us OR
Avoid the border hassle and drive to the main Sportsman's Lodge 12 miles north of Baudette, MN and take a boat passenger service or winter track vehicle service 40 miles across the lake staying in Minnesota the whole time, takes about 1-1 1/2 hours.
 
We also do a great Adventure Package where you can stay at the main lodge a night or two and also the Oak Island lodge a night or two and enjoy both places! This is a favorite over the summer months!
